Monday Monday Monday

Today was not the best of days.  Work was work; all 8 hours of it.  I got home and was trying to unwind when it seemed that my dog had the same idea.  Holly, the goofiest most adorable dumb, sweet thing was knawing on my red hat I’ve been working on for the past 3 days.  So much so that she chewed through the circular needles and unraveled about three rows.

There was a lot of tears as I stomped out to my car to race to AC Moore before dinner was on the table.  AC Moore and Michaels both did not carry the needles I needed.  I was on my way home when a white van pulled out in front of me and I just pressed on the horn for probably 5 seconds longer than necessary.  That did it. The dam was broken and the waterworks came on at full force.  I came home to cold skillet potatoes and my whole family waiting for me to poison our dog.

The food was put in the microwave and thanks to my saintly mother and father I was able to calm down enough to watch House.  As we’re watching House my mother pulls out the exact set of circular needles I needed from our craft closet as if she were a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

It was then that I realized I am the most ridiculous person this side of the Atlantic.  I worked on the hat until it was mended and ready for completion.  My mother, Laura and I finished watching house and I cuddled that stupid, lovely, goofy, most wonderful dog before going to bed.

Mondays tend to be rough but as my Mother likes to remind me, Tomorrow is another day.
